Alive! It’s alive! IT’S ALIVE!!! (Please RT!)

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

Today marks a big day in my writing career. One of my current projects Art Monster has just been green lit for publication. I can’t say who the publisher is at the moment, but I can share that the series will debut on Halloween. Quite appropriate if I do say so myself.

I couldn’t be more proud of the team on this project. Joe Eisma needs no introduction as you may have seen his work on a little comic entitled Morning Glories that’s releasing its 26th issue today! Remarkable series. Then we have some gorgeous colors by Paul Little whose work is currently gracing such books as Image’s Five Weapons, I Love Trouble, and No Place Like Home. Tim Daniel, who has become a very dear friend and collaborator absolutely rocked it on the logo design. Last but certainly not least, Ryan Ferrier‘s lettering is the connecting thread that ties everything together. He’s a phenomenal writer too, and runs the fantastic imprint Challenger Comics. They produce some top-notch creator owned work, most of which is absolutely free to read! Needless to say, all of these guys are true workhorses that produce some of the best comics out today. Couldn’t ask for a better group.

I’d also like to acknowledge my friend, Riley Rossmo. He’s been a huge supporter of my work, and originally pitched this idea to me a couple years ago. Our plans to collaborate on it never came to fruition due to scheduling conflicts, but he was kind enough to let me and Joe run with the concept, and here we are.

In a nutshell: This is a Frankenstein story that I’ve always wanted to write. When the time comes to release it onto the public, I hope you welcome it with open arms.

Southern Dog now available @comixology!

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

Hey All!

A LOT has transpired in the last twenty-four hours, but the only news that I can share at the moment is that Southern Dog #1 is now available on Comixology!

For only 99 pennies, you can read what Pop Culture HoundStarburst Magazine, Multiversity Comics, and Graphic Policy have been raving about.

The Riley Rossmo cover is definitely worth its weight in gold, but everyone needs to be checking out rising star Alex Diotto. The kid is the real deal.

Purchase a copy here and thanks for reading!

Hey All,

I’m excited to share a sneak peak of a project that is currently in the works. Entitled Sleep Debt, we should have the pitch wrapped in two months, but plan to complete the four issue series regardless of publisher backing.

Can’t get much better than that…

Strange Love – Part 16 is now LIVE @multiversitycom!

Friday, April 5th, 2013

Hey All,

I’m proud to share another installment of STRANGE LOVE. This is perhaps my best one to date, and am particularly proud of this gorgeous illustration by Daniel Schneider. Daniel is fantastic and everyone should check out his work here.

Feel free to read Part 16 here.

After you do, you may have noticed the “To Be Continued…” has been replaced. That’s right, I have concluded the first volume of the column. To be honest, I’ve actually managed to catch up to myself, and have decided to take a sabbatical in order to build up material for the second volume. I can’t thank Matthew Meylikhov enough for providing this opportunity last summer to tell my story at Multiversity Comics. I couldn’t have asked for a better editor on this series.

I’m also constantly surprised to meet fans of the column at conventions. Thank you all for joining me in this little adventure of mine, and I can’t wait to return to share the next part of my on-going journey into comic books.
